TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Silver Peacock Events Limited reserves the right to change all and/or some of the contents or packaging to provide an item of equal or greater value without notice. All product hire/services are subject to availability.
Goods (products/services) purchased remain the property of Silver Peacock Events Limited until paid for in full.
Equipment hired (including glass-ware, stands, pedestals, props and artefacts) remains the property of Silver Peacock Events Limited at all times.
The stated Hire Charges on the Order-Form/Invoice are for the duration of the contract.
The Client will pay all monies in advance (interest will be payable on all outstanding amounts at the rate of 8.0% per day), and will be liable for all legal charges incurred by Silver Peacock Events Limited in the recovery of amounts overdue, equipment and/or goods damaged.
Deposits including all monies paid (for hire order confirmation) are non-refundable.
Deposits (for damage/loss of items) are refundable on the satisfactory return of hired items. This deposit is set at the rate of 5 (FIVE) times the rate of hire per item, and is payable in cash or bank transfer.
If items are returned “late” or after the agreed hire period, a penalty charge is payable by the Client at the same rate of hire per item on the quotation-form/invoice, for each day until the item is returned.
Where the hired items/equipment are not returned on collection in the same condition as when delivered due to “loss” or “damage”, the Client will be liable to pay a penalty charge at a rate of ten (10) times the rate of hire per item per day. Hire charges accrue per day until the full settlement is made.
The Client acknowledges that upon receipt of the goods/equipment that they accept full responsibility for these items, and in the case of “hire”, until they are returned to, or collected by, a member of staff of Silver Peacock Events Limited.
The Client acknowledges that all monies owed will be paid prior to the event. In the circumstance that the invoice balance is outstanding or not paid in full, Silver Peacock Events Limited reserve the right to cancel the agreed hire without notice.
The Client acknowledges responsibility of ensuring adequate assembly and dismantle times are provided. In the event, that this has not been fulfilled, the Client accepts full responsibility for any charges incurred and will also be liable for all legal charges incurred by Silver Peacock Events Limited in the recovery of amounts overdue. Silver Peacock Events Limited will not accept liability for delays incurred as a result of lateness (including access times), from other Vendors chosen by the Client.
Silver Peacock Events Limited’s Responsibility
Silver Peacock Events Limited will maintain the agreed hire rates for the duration of the contract.
Where appropriate, equipment will be inspected and tested in accordance with relevant statutory requirements.
Wherever possible Silver Peacock Events Limited will provide the goods/equipment and services as agreed, however the Client acknowledges and accepts that in unforeseen circumstances, substitutions will be made as necessary. In these unforeseen circumstances, the client will be consulted and best advised.
All order confirmation deposits and payments are non-refundable.
The Client will pay a minimum of 25% of the invoice value to reserve the order form for hire.
The Client will pay all monies owed 28 days in advance of the function date with 50% of the invoice balance paid at a minimum of 12 weeks prior to the event date. The Client agrees to pay interest at the rate of 5.0% per day on all amounts that are outstanding (from the first day after the 28 day period prior to the event, until payment is made in full), and will be liable for all legal charges incurred by Silver Peacock Events Limited in the recovery of amounts overdue, equipment and/or goods.
The Client agrees to pay a refundable deposit (for damage/loss of items) 7 days prior to the event date. This will be refunded (minus any costs/charges incurred for damage/loss of items) up to 72 hours into a nominated account, after the day of return/collection by a member of staff of Silver Peacock Events Limited. If the costs/charges incurred for damage/loss of items exceed the deposit amount, the Client is liable to pay this additional amount and will also be liable for all legal charges incurred by Silver Peacock Events Limited in the recovery of amounts overdue.
Any cheques that are unpaid or represented by the bank will incur an administration fee of £105.00, which the Client agrees to pay.
The Client must inform Silver Peacock Events Limited in writing (by post), the cancellation of goods/services/or hire items that have been ordered.
The client remains liable to pay in full for all goods/services/items that have been ordered, where notice of cancellation is less than 180 days from the event date.
All complaints must be received in writing (by post) within 7 days after the event date.
